As November draws to a close it’s time to be looking forward to the New Year.
But – I’m still looking back. I used a photo of my Tenere on here the other day which made me go looking through my galleries for some more. I’ve deleted most of them which is a shame because she has been my number one mount over the past three to four years and together we have been to some far-off places.
I still have a decent set of pics from our visit to the Isle of Tiree in 2010 so here goes —-
Jumping off point for Tiree is Oban which has it’s own distillery bang in the centre of the town. Quite a handy place really when you consider that whisky drinking is the national sport in the west of Scotland.
and even before I reached Oban I had to cross the Clyde from Gourock to Dunoon on the Western Ferry —
It’s funny but I don’t really feel I’m on holiday unless there’s a ferry journey involved to somewhere —
I seldom book a round trip as I like to keep my options open for coming back —
and with a place as beautiful as Tiree who can blame me —
Yes – this thread has put me in the mood for another trip —
which means – I will have to sell my gixxer to finance it —
Any takers???
