Scottish Motorcycle Show

11 Mar

Scottish Motor Cycle Show weekend at Ingliston. The good – the bad and the ugly.

First ‘the good’

The far hall where the classic bikes were on show saw an excellent turnout of machinery.

The first model to catch my eye as I entered was the ‘Hostess with the Mostest’ —

Oh – er I think that’s a Harley Davidson. Then it was just a case of looking at the old bikes.

This Vincent thou was a head-turner —

and the competition bikes were there in force —

A BSA Lightning based Hurricane is it? I had a new Lightning in the sixties – wasn’t much impressed with it back then but they look good now —

The 350 MAC Velocette – similar to my first road bike. Only this one is shinier 🙂

There were more Kawasaki’s than I could shake a stick at —

They polish up well —

Hondas too —

and believe it or not this is a Goldwing trying to be a GS —

Well – you have seen some of the good from the Classic Hall – I won’t bother you with the bad from the middle hall but here’s a bit of the ‘ugly’ from the main hall —

Yes – I could have ridden that Rocket Three out of there – I did like the feel of her 🙂
