Tenere takes a short gallop

01 Jun

It’s been a busy period recently. Having a young dog to look after isn’t like having a motorbike that you can switch on and off as you please. So – when I had a few hours to myself this afternoon I went for a gallop on the Tenere.

First stop was the Smithy tearoom in New Galloway for tea and a scone by the stream —

Then it was offski down the Castle Douglas road before turning for home after Crossford. It’s a great ride with quick bends. The roadside is full of blossom of all description to the left and crackin views across Loch Ken to the right. There were so many photo opportunities but I was enjoying the ride so much I didn’t stop for one ——

until I spotted these swans in a little pond on their own —

There was one adult and five cygnets —

Isn’t nature wonderful —

Tenere
