The Drifter

26 Oct

The drifterThe Drifter by Jack Vertrianno — just one of the prints from paintings by the Man I put up on my wall today.

‘The Drifter’ – does that mean I’m moving on?

I don’t think so. Perhaps I’ve finally arrived for that coastline in the Drifter pic looks very much like the one in my previous post ‘Tall Tree Alley’ and I felt right at home there.

I may have missed the recent exhibition of Jack’s paintings up in Glasgow’s Kelvin Grove Art Gallery but no worries – my friends at one of our local galleries just a hop and a skip from my door have a great selection of prints at affordable prices.

Dance Me to the End of Time might have been played out on Carrick Shore —

and with a degree of artistic licence the Anniversary Waltz could have been staged on the Sands Promenade at Dumfries —

Last but not least from a time when smoking a cigarette was an art form – The Letter —

The Letter

Last in line here perhaps but I’m pretty sure I’ll find room for another one or two – it’s so hard to chose.

Thanks to Amazon for the photos – hopefully I haven’t infringed any copyright.

Lazyman’s blogging I know – but I just had to share 🙂
