Walking in Glengap

Walking in Glengap – where nothing stirred. It was as quiet as the grave up there today —

Things were quite different last week when the Galloway Hills motor rally used the dirt roads for their timed stages but today it was as if the wildlife were still in hiding —

I parked by the burn —

and headed off up the hill through the forest with the intention of doing a circular walk that would bring me back down past the old waterworks.

Gatehouse of Fleet is way over there somewhere —

but I can’t see it either —

Thought I wasn’t going to make it all the way round as my knee was giving me gip —

Glengap 033

so I took my time and caught the tailend of a rainbow but didn’t get wet —

I started and finished in wintry sun with just a dull bit halfway round —

so the woolie hat and warm jacket could have stayed in the cupboard —

but no doubt I will be needing them before long 🙂
