Christmas Tree

25 Nov

glengap 009With no shortage of Christmas Trees of every variety – both farmed and growing wild in our locality – it’s hard to choose a favourite.

No worries — at least for the trees — as we left the saw behind and are out to enjoy the fresh air – exercise – and a glimpse of rare blue skies today.

With knees playing up I am still getting accustomed to walking with poles.

I tried a single pod a few years ago but the only good thing I could say about it was that it made a steady camera mount.

The two lightweight alloy poles I’m using now make a vast difference where balance is concerned and take a lot of the weight off the knees on rough going – especially on downhill sections.

A happy ‘sherpa’ completes the picture —

with the added bonus that when we do find that special view – tree – picnic spot or whatever —

xmas tree

we have someone to share it with 🙂
