It’s that time of year again when you start wondering if there are any tatties under the shaws in the front border that you planted up with King Edwards instead of the usual flowers.
M-mmm – not bad considering the King Edward is either a second early or a maincrop tattie which would normally be lifted closer to mid-August. I remember my dad growing them when I was a boy – the seed for these came from Aldi and it’s nice to see them back again —
This first bunch came from only one shaw – only take minutes to boil and taste divine. Can’t see me leaving ’em in the ground til August 🙂
