Nancy on Luing

21 Sep

I had Nancy and Gordon on Luing early last week – or maybe even before that – how time flies.

No matter – the sun shone – Gordon danced around the garden with his camera before we set off on our walk to Port Mary —

where the courteous sheep made room for us —

While Nancy set the pace —

and I did my best to keep up —

on a wonderful walk over to the old slate workings where we enjoyed our picnic on the rocky shore with views to Easdalle and Mull —

A belated thanks for your crackin pics Gordon — they arrived on the 16th but landed direct to my Spam heap where I found them a few minutes ago. Hope you have managed to get a shot or two of the otter which I believe has a holt next to your cottage on Tiree where you are this week.

Thanks for your photos Gordon and I will credit the photographer of this next fantastic pic when I find out his name — it’s a stunner —

Helen and I have been ‘enjoying’ the company of a peregrine falcon around Bardrishaig this week. I was fortunate to see it make a kill on the hillside by our house. They really are spectacular birds on the final stages of an attack – makes me feel sorry for their prey 🙂
