We went off in the Yeti – a beast of burden if ever there was one – to grab a few big bags of kindling at source yesterday – we being Helen – myself and Loki —
We can get kindling on our doorstep – but only in small bags and when it’s all added up in the spring it has cost a fortune. Unless – we buy in bulk – with the added bonus of enjoying the scenic route to our supplier —
So we chose our day —
with sunshine and a fresh capping of snow on the hills around Glen Quaich —
plus the white church in Amulree —
Further up the road we have views over Aberfeldy and if your eyes are good enough they go all the way to Schiehalion —
and the mountains around Blair Athol —
I think the quality of the pics shows I had help in that department and here she is – Helen trudging back to the car after taking a c;lose-up of Schiehallion — I jest — Luckily we didn’t have to go all the way to the horizon for our kindling and we should have sufficient now to light our wee fire through till spring — Magic!
