St Fillans is Full of Surprises —

There’s more to St Fillans than meets the eye. With the A75 skirting Loch Earn – at first glance the village would appear to consist of a few large sandstone houses and a few hotels – squeezed between the main through road and the wooded hills to the north —

But there’s more to it than that – in addition to a well furnished children’s play area twixt houses and hills there’s the old railway line – now a public footpath complete with a hundred yards of tunnel —

Loki’s first tunnel – he was as surprised as I was to find it running through the hillside after our tough scramble up the high embankment —
