Glenhead Standing Stones —

When you are left in charge of a large hound like Loki I’m afraid there’s no rest for the wicked —

I wasn’t fit for much after my tough day up by the Turret Reservoir so I slapped some leftover chicken in a bap .. garnished it with the ‘failed’ marmalade I made on my return from Glen Turret yesterday —

and this motley bunch is now chutney —

Nothing is wasted in my kitchen —

Meanwhile back at the standing stones Loki is still investigating their mysteries. He looked really impressed when I told him I had ploughed these fields as a boy and have climbed Dumyat Hill in the distance more times than he’d had hot dinners —

Storm Malik does Glen Turret —

Doesn’t look bad up there today —

but the wind is gusting from the north slopes of Ben Chonzie – all the way down the loch —

It even has Loki wondering if it’s safe to leave the shelter of our Yeti —

Especially when he sees what I’m wearing πŸ™„

It was well needed – for we had sun – sleet – snow and rainbows up there today 😎

Room and Kitchen —

Dunno what Loki was complaining about in the previous post —

Three years ago he was roughing it in his ‘des res’ log cabin on the Isle of Luing which even had a loft up above for Seamus — now they live in front of the fire like lords of the manor — πŸ™„

‘In the Beginning’ —

was the first in Helen’s new range of painting. Having spent her life asking herself the question – ‘am I a writer – or a painter?’

I think she has found the answer —

‘The Dive’

While on the subject of painting – this one is just back from the framer —

It’s Helen’s take on our memories of the Isle of Luing when the gannets followed the shoals of mackerel through Cuan Sound as we made our crossings on the small ferry – the Belnahua —

Her eye for the detail is amazing!
