Unlike yesterday there was no early start – or late finish today. Instead I let the hose thaw out and washed the salt from Saturday’s frozen roads from the X-ADV before setting out for Callander close to midday.
I’m enjoying the recently fitted Michelin Pilot Roads – surefooted even on cold wet patches under the trees on the loch side – not that I’m ever going to get too complacent.
I still remember my first ride along this same lochside sixty seven years ago when I came a cropper on my 350 Velocette and ended up among the trees – rocks and even brought a nasty ravine into play. Certainly didn’t do the Velo any good either and I still manage a wry grin every time I go thataway 🙃
