Finlarig Castle by Killin —

This can only be a flooding Falls of Dochart on our way into Killin again —

With Helen aboard we ran on through Killin to the head of Loch Tay —

where she strode off across the white stuff to visit a well hidden Finlarig Castle —

which is the stuff of nightmares —

Once the home of Duncan Campbell —

Laird of Glenorchy —

Sheriff of Perthshire —

and a whole lot more titles – including the 7th Duke of Argyll —

With estates stretching a hundred miles east to west —

a Hanging Tree for the common folk who didn’t measure up —

and his own beheading pit where the heads of the gentry who crossed his path rolled – both are still here at Finlarig Castle so watch your step —

Blue Skies over St Fillan’s today —

When all the world appears to be under one cloud —

I just thought that it was worth a mention —

that were blues skies over St Fillan’s —

For at least ten minutes —

Today 😎👍

Lochearnhead and Glen Ogle today -+-

Lochearnhead appears to be closed for the winter months —

but the Loch is still there —

In fact with the temperatures hovering just above freezing —

the levels are high with snowmelt —

Glen Ogle was worth stopping for a pic or two —

but why stop at two —

when they are free —

There wasn’t this much snow when I went over the top yesterday —

but Helen did a great job of shovelling us clear this afternoon 👍😎
