Helen took these pics a few days ago while on her usual ‘dog walk’ route around Comrie with Loki —
And this is the view from the seats under the big old beech tree in the previous pic – it’s where the Rivers Ruchill and Earn meet —
and all this takes place behind the St Kessog’s Parish Church building —
The history of churches in Comrie is about as convoluted as that of churches in general in Scotland over the ages but it has certainly graced this small town (or large village – take your pick) with some magnificent buildings – Loki will know them better than I do as our wee cottage lies in the middle of them all.
In a clockwork direction his walk takes him past the magnificent White Church – the equally grand St Kessog’s Parish Church – what I take to be the Wee Free Church – the St Margaret’s Catholic Church and the St Serff’s Episcopal Church – no doubt there are more but these are the main ones.
That’s a whole lot of praying to take in on a Sunday morning walk 🤠👍
