House Hunting —

That’s why it’s all gone quiet over here —

Seamus doesn’t know yet —

But he soon will when he reads my blog —

I’m sure his response will be – ‘Oh goody – take me back to the Isle of Luing dad —

there weren’t so many cars to dodge there and I can run faster than a tractor!’

Yup – we’ve been here three years – most of it under pandemic rules – making this place our own —

thinking we would be here forever and a day —

Loki won’t mind where we go —

so long as he’s with his mum —

and has logs to jump —

No worries — who said life was supposed to be easy —

The older you get – the tougher it gets 😁

Pudding Lane —

The original Pudding Lane ran between Eastcheap and the Thames – it was used by the butcher’s to cart animal’s entrails down to the Riverside to be loaded onto barges and dumped downriver .. no doubt to be brought back up by the following tide. Much like what happened to our own emerging whisky industry which was centred in Campbeltown – Argyle where every waste product from twenty eight distillery’s operating there at the time was dumped on the shoreline and eventually filled the bay with foul smelling efluent —

Can’t say where our own ‘Pudding Lane’ here in Comrie got its name – it starts at the main street and ends in a farmer’s field —

It’s just part of the flat walks that Loki and I take around town these days —

A bit different to our walks on the Isle of Luing when he was a boy 🤠

and as every schoolboy knows – London’s Pudding Lane is where the Great Fire of London started 🔥🔥🔥

Honda CRF250 Rally at Ben Lora —

Must be at least four years – maybe five since I took this shot – she is still wearing her original exhaust —

Memory isn’t what it was and I even had to google Ben Lpra Cafe to see where I had been riding that day. Turns out I was passing through Benderloch just north of Connel Bridge – a few miles up the coast from Oban —

At least it was cleaner underfoot than here on the Isle of Luing – I do miss that wee bike —

No worries – my X-ADV 750 is back in the shed after a six week holiday. She is sitting there fully serviced and wearing a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Roads 4 – will be interesting to see how she goes on them —
