The Tin Lizzie —

Or Elisabet for short – was my mission today —

After a coffee n bacon roll while thawing out in front of the fire in the Real Food Cafe at Tyndrum —

I scooted down to Inverary on Loch Fyne for a practise click at the Vital Spark —

Then after a quick burst on the old banjo I was over the Rest-and-be Thankfull to Arrochar on Loch Long where I slipped quietly down the side of the loch past a big grey thing that I could have reached out and touched in the passing —

The boys in the black outfits with handy looking weapons might have had sumthin to say about that – so I took my shot from-a-distance – yes it’s the real thing – the Tin Lizzie 😎

Then I had a quiet chat with a couple of watchful polis who told me how to find Faslane which was my next port-of-call —

Faslane – another naval base – I was there on hire with my mobile crane sixty years ago – first time back was today. For some obscure reason they didn’t remember me 🥺

Heading on for two hundred miles under the wheels today — I was ready for this 😋
